FiveM Server Hosting in 2026: Official Partners Compared

FiveM's official hosting landscape has changed.

As of June 27, 2026, FiveM's server hosting page lists six authorized hosting partners:

For years, ZAP-Hosting was the name many server owners associated with official FiveM hosting. More official options are good, but they also make the decision harder. The right host depends on your player locations, expected slot count, scripts, budget, support needs, backups, txAdmin access, and how much control you want.

This is a researched comparison based on the official partner list, each provider's public FiveM offering, and my own experience building FiveM servers and hosting-related content since 2020. It is not a hands-on performance benchmark of all six companies.

Important warning

If you are buying a ready-made FiveM game-server hosting product, start with FiveM's authorized hosting partners. Rockstar's Creator Platform License Agreement allows Rockstar to identify authorized or unauthorized service providers and restrict prohibited services. A host missing from the public partner page is not automatically proof of a ban risk, but serious communities should verify policy status before trusting a managed provider.

Quick answer

There is no single best FiveM host for everyone. GPORTAL is clean for simple official hosting, Nitrado is flexible with slots and runtime, xREALM positions itself around support and easy management, Shockbyte has a simple public plan structure, ZAP-Hosting is the long-time FiveM name with lifetime options, and Nodecraft is strong if you want panel tooling and FiveM-specific features.

How I Compared These Hosts

  • Information was checked on June 27, 2026.
  • Prices are public examples checked manually before currency conversion, local tax, promos, or checkout changes.
  • Features come from official product pages unless otherwise stated.
  • My direct hands-on experience applies mainly to ZAP-Hosting and general FiveM administration.
  • No synthetic latency, CPU, or support benchmark was performed for this article.

Why Official FiveM Hosting Matters Now

FiveM's own page says you can set up your server in under 5 minutes through authorized hosting partners. That wording matters.

The wider GTA V multiplayer ecosystem has also narrowed in 2026. Both alt:V and RAGE Multiplayer announced structured shutdowns after requests from Take-Two, while their communities were encouraged to migrate to FiveM. That makes FiveM's official hosting ecosystem more relevant to server owners planning a long-term project.

Rockstar's Creator Platform License Agreement also says Rockstar may identify certain third-party providers, including server hosting providers, as authorized or unauthorized services. It also says Rockstar can prohibit use of an unauthorized service provider in connection with the Creator Services, and that it may take adverse action against users, accounts, content, or custom servers for violations of the agreement.

That does not mean you cannot self-host a FiveM server on your own VPS or dedicated machine. FiveM's official docs still include guides for setting up your own server.

The distinction is this:

Hosting pathWhat it meansMy advice
Authorized FiveM game-server hostA managed FiveM product from a partner listed by FiveMSafest choice for beginners and communities
Self-hosted VPS or dedicated serverYou install and manage FXServer yourself using official docsFine if you know what you are doing and follow policy
Other managed FiveM host not listed on the official partner pageA company selling prebuilt FiveM game servers without appearing on FiveM's public partner listVerify policy status, infrastructure, support, backups, and terms before using it for a serious community

If you are running a serious RP city, the hosting provider is not just a technical decision. It is a trust decision. You are building a community, paying for developers and moderation, running staff systems, managing data, and depending on uptime.

Do not save a few dollars by choosing a provider you have not verified.

Can Your FiveM Server Get Banned for Using the Wrong Host?

The safest answer is: do not treat uncertainty as a strategy.

Rockstar's agreement gives it room to identify unauthorized service providers, prohibit their use, and take action against custom servers or accounts for policy violations. That does not mean every infrastructure company outside the public partner list is automatically forbidden. Self-hosting through the official docs is still a valid path. But if a company is selling managed FiveM game-server hosting and is not on the official partner list, I would verify the provider carefully before placing a public RP city there.

Official FiveM Hosting Partners Compared

Here is the high-level comparison before the deeper review.

HostStrongest angleBest fit
GPORTALSimple slot-based hosting, backups and fast deploymentNew server owners who want a clear official option
NitradoSlot/runtime flexibility and subscription/prepaid optionsOwners who want to tune slot count and rental duration
xREALMModern panel, player-first branding, support-focused positioningCommunities that care about support and easy management
ShockbyteStraightforward plans, txAdmin, lower entry pricingBudget-conscious beginners and small groups
ZAP-HostingLong FiveM history, web interface, lifetime server optionUsers who know ZAP, want many payment options, or like lifetime pricing
NodecraftPolished panel, FiveM resource tools, support, Pro featuresOwners who want a cleaner managed experience and advanced tools

Do not read this table as "best to worst." These companies are solving slightly different buyer problems.

The better question is not "which host is best?"

The better question is: what kind of FiveM server are you building?

What to Check Before Buying

Before comparing providers, check these basics.

Location

Choose the data center closest to your actual players.

For Indian communities, GPORTAL's Mumbai location is worth checking first. If Mumbai is not available for the provider you choose, Singapore is usually the practical official-hosting fallback. For Europe, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, and nearby EU nodes usually make sense. For the US, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and similar central/regional options matter depending on your audience.

FiveM feels bad when routing is bad. A better panel cannot fix 180ms ping.

CPU

FiveM performance is heavily affected by CPU and script quality.

Do not buy only by RAM. FiveM workloads care heavily about single-thread CPU performance. A server with fewer fast cores can feel better than a server advertising many slower cores, especially once framework scripts, vehicles, inventory, voice, and database calls start stacking up.

A clean 4GB server on a fast CPU can feel better than a messy 12GB server on weak shared hardware. Treat provider claims about CPU quality, node performance, or no overselling as useful signals to verify, not guarantees.

RAM

RAM still matters. It is just not the only thing that matters.

FiveM does not have a trustworthy universal RAM-per-player formula. A lightly modified private server may run comfortably with relatively little memory, while an RP server with large vehicle packs, MLOs, frameworks, and hundreds of resources may need considerably more. Ask the provider whether memory can be upgraded without migration, and monitor actual usage as your city grows.

ESX vs QBCore

Most serious FiveM roleplay servers are built on ESX or QBCore. Both can run well, and both can run badly.

ESX servers often carry older dependencies or migrated resources if the project has been around for years. QBCore servers can feel cleaner at the start but still become heavy once owners install too many scripts. In both cases, database quality, resource order, and script optimization matter as much as the host.

txAdmin

txAdmin is basically standard for modern FiveM servers. It helps with console work, restarts, resources, monitoring, and beginner-friendly management.

Artifacts

FiveM server artifacts are the runtime builds your FXServer runs on. A good host should make artifact updates easy through the panel, txAdmin flow, documentation, or support.

Backups

Every serious FiveM server needs backups. A database import, resource update, inventory script, vehicle pack, or framework migration can go wrong fast.

File access and database access

FiveM is not like a simple survival server where you only change one config. You will touch:

  • server.cfg
  • resources
  • database imports
  • txAdmin settings
  • framework configs
  • MLOs
  • vehicle packs
  • permissions

Full file access and database access matter if you want control.

Support

Support quality is not just a badge that says "24/7." For FiveM, useful support understands txAdmin, artifacts, backups, resource deployment, ports, and startup issues.

GPORTAL FiveM Hosting Review

GPORTAL is one of the cleanest official choices if you want a simple managed FiveM server without overthinking the setup.

GPORTAL's FiveM page shows a clear slot-based approach. At the time of checking, the visible examples showed:

Example GPORTAL planListed price and runtime
10 slotsUSD 9.00 for 30 days
10 slotsUSD 24.30 for 90 days
48 slotsUSD 37.06 for 30 days

GPORTAL also listed an India (Mumbai) location with the same pricing across locations when checked. That is a useful detail for Indian FiveM communities because Mumbai can be much better than routing everyone to Singapore or Europe.

The page advertises quick setup, scripts enabled, 50GB backup space, DDoS protection through Bulwark and Corero, NVMe SSD hardware, support, and server availability in under 3 minutes.

GPORTAL is a good fit for small or mid-size RP servers where simple official setup matters more than deep customization. Advanced owners should verify CPU allocation, database behavior, and FiveM tuning details before buying.

Nitrado FiveM Hosting Review

Nitrado is interesting because it gives a lot of flexibility around slots and runtime.

At the time of checking, Nitrado's FiveM page showed the same PC plan prices across available locations for both subscription and prepaid orders:

Example Nitrado planListed price and runtime
18 slotsUSD 9.79 for 30 days
24 slotsUSD 12.99 for 30 days
48 slotsUSD 20.99 for 30 days
Custom configuration18 to 600 slots and 3 to 365 days runtime

Nitrado also lists locations such as Frankfurt, London, New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney. The plan examples include space for the selected player count, txAdmin, "unlimited RAM and CPU" wording, and automated server backups. The page also highlights daily backups, DDoS protection, flexible runtime, up/down grades, and game switching for up to 5 games on each server.

Nitrado is best if you want slot and rental-duration flexibility, short test periods, multiple regions, or the ability to switch active games on the same server. Read "unlimited RAM and CPU" as marketing language, not infinite physical performance. For a serious city with heavy scripts, test carefully before committing long-term.

xREALM FiveM Hosting Review

xREALM may be less familiar to many FiveM owners, but it is on the official FiveM hosting page.

xREALM lists three visible FiveM tiers: S Performance with 10 slots, M Performance with 24 slots, and L Performance with 48 slots. Its feature list includes performance CPU, DDR4 RAM, NVMe SSD storage, DDoS protection, txAdmin, console access, file access, database management, and artifact management.

At the time of checking, the visible xREALM prices were:

Example xREALM planListed price
10 slotsUSD 13.70
24 slotsUSD 19.90
48 slotsUSD 33.60

xREALM positions itself as player-first and support-focused. The page talks about real human support, easy management on phone or PC, instant deployment, DDoS protection, automatic updates, Tebex integration, and global locations. It also lists data centers in Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Sao Paulo, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Strasbourg, Sydney, and Singapore.

That makes xREALM worth comparing if support, modern management, txAdmin, database tools, and artifact handling matter to you. Before buying, verify final pricing in your region and compare checkout details against the other official hosts.

Shockbyte FiveM Hosting Review

Shockbyte has one of the most straightforward public plan structures on the list.

Shockbyte's FiveM page showed three plans:

Shockbyte planListed player countRegular monthly pricePromo monthly price checked
Sandy Shores12 playersUSD 12.99/monthUSD 9.74/month
Vespucci24 playersUSD 15.99/monthUSD 11.99/month
VinewoodUnlimited playersUSD 24.99/monthUSD 18.74/month

The checked promo showed 25% off recurring monthly pricing. The page also highlights txAdmin integration, uptime, DDoS protection, easy configuration, low latency, a 72-hour self-serve refund, global locations, support, self-serve guides, automatic backups, full file access, and monthly/quarterly/annual billing discounts.

Its clearest advantage is the simple plan table. Shockbyte makes sense if you are budget-conscious, want a beginner-friendly order flow, and are building a small or mid-size server.

The thing to check is how "unlimited players" behaves in real life. FiveM player count is not only a plan label. It depends on Cfx.re slot rules, Element Club requirements, CPU, scripts, database load, and network. If you are building a serious high-player RP city, do not buy based only on the word "unlimited." Ask support what they recommend for your framework, expected player count, and script load.

For serious RP, test before scaling.

ZAP-Hosting FiveM Review

ZAP-Hosting is the historical FiveM hosting name most people know.

I used ZAP when I first started with FiveM, and for many people from my generation of server owners, ZAP was the first official FiveM host they heard about. Its long FiveM history means the platform has been built around familiar requirements such as txAdmin, FTP, startup configuration, upgrades, and different payment options.

ZAP's FiveM page lists:

  • FiveM servers starting around USD 10/month when checked
  • Lifetime server option starting around USD 80 one-time
  • Automatic setup
  • Web interface
  • Free FTP access
  • txAdmin
  • DDoS protection
  • Backups
  • Upgrade/downgrade options
  • Own IP option with default FiveM port
  • Game cloud switching
  • Live chat, ticket, and email support
  • Many payment methods, including credit card, PaySafeCard, and PayPal

ZAP is also interesting because it does not frame FiveM primarily around fixed slot packages. Pricing changes as you customize RAM and other options. Not everyone should buy lifetime immediately, and "lifetime" still depends on ZAP's applicable product terms. It can make sense if you want prepaid options, lots of payment methods, a web interface with txAdmin and FTP, or an official host with years of FiveM-specific history.

The tradeoff is that ZAP has a lot of configuration options, which is good for control but can feel busy to new users. Take your time during checkout. Choose location, RAM, IP, backups, and billing type carefully.

For Indian users, I have written separately about the reality of game server hosting in India and my ZAP-Hosting Lifetime VPS review. If you are Indian and paying internationally, also think about payment method, currency conversion, and player ping before buying.

Nodecraft FiveM Review

Nodecraft presents one of the most feature-heavy panel-focused offerings on paper.

Nodecraft's FiveM page says it is an official Cfx.re server provider and shows premium FiveM hosting with 24/7 always-online servers, static IP address, and automated tasks. FiveM uses Nodecraft Pro; Nodecraft Lite was not available for FiveM when checked.

The visible Pro examples included:

Nodecraft Pro planFirst-month sale priceRegular monthly price
2GB RAMUSD 6.99/monthUSD 9.98/month
3GB RAMUSD 10.49/monthUSD 14.98/month
6GB RAMUSD 20.99/monthUSD 29.98/month

Nodecraft also had a build-your-own option from 2GB to 32GB RAM.

The strongest part is the FiveM-specific tooling. Nodecraft lists a resource installer, txAdmin integration, onboard database generation, server-listing customization, full file access, AMD Ryzen 9 or AMD EPYC CPUs, DDoS protection, cloud backups, MySQL management, FTP/SFTP, live streamed console, automated tasks, support with listed daily hours, and a free-trial option subject to availability and eligibility checks.

Nodecraft also advertises a static IP address, while DNS hostnames are also provided. That is useful for public communities because a stable address is cleaner for Discord, server lists, and repeat players.

Nodecraft is worth comparing if you want a polished control panel, resource install tools, database/file management inside the panel, static IP behavior, Save & Swap for other games, or a trial before committing.

The tradeoff is cost. Nodecraft is not always the cheapest way to run raw FiveM resources, especially compared to a self-managed VPS. But for many users, the panel and support experience are the product.

If you are comparing Nodecraft more broadly, I also wrote a full Nodecraft Pro vs Lite comparison. For FiveM specifically, compare Pro configurations because Lite was not available for FiveM when checked.

Which FiveM Host Should You Pick?

Here is my practical recommendation by use case.

Use caseHosts I would compare firstWhy
First private FiveM serverShockbyte, GPORTAL, NitradoSimple plan tables and beginner-friendly setup
Small RP cityGPORTAL, ZAP-Hosting, NodecraftOfficial setup, backups, txAdmin, support
Budget testingShockbyte, Nitrado, ZAP-HostingLower entry plans or flexible rental options
Long-term prepaid/lifetime thinkingZAP-HostingLifetime option is the differentiator
Panel-first experienceNodecraft, xREALMStrong control-panel positioning and management tools
Flexible slots/runtimeNitrado, GPORTALClear slot/runtime customization
Support-focused buyerxREALM, Nodecraft, ZAP-HostingPublic pages emphasize support and managed help
India/South Asia audienceGPORTAL Mumbai first, then official hosts with SingaporePing matters more than brand name

Again, this is not a ranking. It is a fit chart.

The worst hosting decision is not picking the "wrong" official partner. It is buying from an unverified host because it was a few dollars cheaper, then discovering poor support, unclear policy status, bad routing, weak backups, or no way to scale.

What About Self-Hosting on a VPS?

Self-hosting is still valid. FiveM's docs include setup paths for running your own server using txAdmin, Windows, Linux, or a game server hosting provider.

If you are technical, a VPS or dedicated server can give you more control and sometimes better value. But you become responsible for OS maintenance, firewall rules, backups, database security, DDoS exposure, txAdmin configuration, artifact updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting. For a serious RP server, that responsibility is not small.

If you want the learning experience, self-hosting is great. If you want to launch quickly and reduce operational stress, official managed FiveM hosting is easier.

For India-specific VPS decisions, read my Host FiveM Server in India guide. That article is more about low-latency VPS setup and tuning, while this article is about official managed FiveM hosting partners.

Do Not Ignore FiveM Slot Rules

FiveM's documentation says OneSync is free up to 48 slots. Higher slot counts require a Cfx.re Portal tier starting from FiveM Element Club Argentum.

That means hosting plan labels are not the whole story.

For planning, think of slot scaling like this:

Slot planning stageWhat to check
Up to 48 playersFree OneSync limit according to FiveM docs
Beyond 48 playersCfx.re Portal subscription starts from FiveM Element Club Argentum
Larger public RP citiesCheck current Argentum, Aurum, and Platinum tier limits before buying the host plan

If a host says 128 players, 600 slots, or unlimited players, still check what Cfx.re subscription level you need and whether your actual server can handle that many players with your framework and scripts.

For FiveM, the real capacity equation is:

host performance + script quality + database performance + Cfx.re slot allowance + network quality

Not just the number printed on the hosting card.

A Note on Monetization in 2026

Server monetization is another reason to stay careful.

The January 2026 Creator PLA update caused concern in the FiveM and RedM community because the prohibited-methods language references offering, selling, or facilitating access to Rockstar-created Virtual Items. Community coverage at the time reported that server owners were worried about common monetization models.

I am not giving legal advice here. The practical advice is simpler: if your server depends on donations, Tebex, priority access, cosmetics, subscriptions, or any paid perks, read the current PLA yourself and keep your monetization boring, transparent, and compliant. Hosting is only one part of staying safe. Your business model matters too.

My Honest Take

If you are buying managed FiveM hosting in 2026, start from the official list.

That list is now bigger than it used to be, and that is good. Earlier, many people treated ZAP-Hosting as the default official FiveM hosting option. Today, FiveM lists GPORTAL, Nitrado, xREALM, Shockbyte, ZAP-Hosting, and Nodecraft as authorized hosting partners.

That gives users real choice.

Before you buy, ask yourself one question:

Am I buying a server for tonight, or am I building infrastructure for a community?

If it is a weekend test, keep the setup simple and cheap. If it is a public RP city, think bigger than the first invoice. You need policy awareness, backups, artifact updates, database access, support, routing, and enough CPU headroom for your framework and scripts.

If you are running a serious public RP server, I would not gamble with an unverified managed FiveM host. Your server is more than files on a machine. It is your community, Discord, staff team, economy, player data, and reputation.

Pay for the setup that keeps that safe.
